Ao ver o insucesso escolar de crian\u00e7as de um bairro pobre em Detroit, percebeu a influ\u00eancia que o processo de ensino-aprendizagem tinha e como podia ser determinante no sucesso de cada crian\u00e7a ao longo da vida. <\/p>\n<p>Em 1970 David Weikart criou a HighScope Educational Research Foundation. Esta funda\u00e7\u00e3o teve um impacto determinante na investiga\u00e7\u00e3o e pr\u00e1tica pedag\u00f3gica.
